I'm an old retired guy with 6 motorcycles and the first thing I do when I get a new motorcycle is change the exhaust system. I like doing mods to my bikes to make them different from other stock bikes on the road. On my 09 Wee I installed carbon fiber Akrapovic, it is not much louder than stock but has a deeper mellower sound........being about 12 pounds lighter than stock system that's a real bonus. The performance thing is at the top end of the power band and how many people ride up there all the time? Changing exhaust systems is about the most expensive mod you can do and most times you'll never get it back when you sell the bike..........so its all about making your bike "your bike".
