Exhaust damage

Just wondering if anyone knows how big a deal the damage to this part of the exhaust is. It doesn’t appear to be the main manifold but maybe part of a silencer or something? It’s a 1050xt.

Buying a full system to replace is out since apparently they don’t exist for this bike.

And yes I will be buying a bash plate asap! For anyone curious what caused the damage it was from going down a regular old curb into the parking lot at work. I know these aren’t the most off road capable bikes but needless to say I’m less than impressed. Oh well.

I just recently noticed similar construction on 650 manifolds. I presume it's purpose is tuning/balancing the two different manifolds. Delkevic systems have this as well.
A good hands on engineer or even panel beater should be able to fix that for you.
Or here are a few ideas:

Awesome thank you for the links, super helpful. I didn’t know it was even remotely a DIY project. I might as well give it a shot.

The look of the damage doesn't bother me at all, but I was worried it might restrict gas flow. There are a few pics in my first post, try clicking the photo or using the arrow on the right side of the picture to scroll through.

I would leave the dent alone if it was my bike, as long as it hasn't rubbed through and leaking exhaust. It doesn't appear to be flattened to an extent where it would restrict exhaust flow enough to diminish power or cause overheating.

Ah, finally see all of the photos. If it were me I wouldn't worry about it as long as there are no punctures or cracks causing it to leak.
That's just "character." I doubt the difference is noticeable except maybe on a dyno and then it would be insignificant.
Thanks foe the replies guys. I rode it home from work this morning and it felt the same as always, so I’ll slap a bash plate on there and call it good.
