*** This was originally posted over the general discussion area, but got no responses. Perhaps some Eurotroops can help out. ***

My most recent time in Europe was in Paris this past December. It was my first time there in the winter. I noticed something on a lot of the motorcycles this time that I did not notice before in the summer (they seem to ride throughout the year there a lot more than we do).

A lot of bikes had what appeared to be a wind/water-proof "blanket" with fleece backing draped over the tank and upper engine area. It was attached to the front faring and was cut so it looked like you could sit down and drape the "blanket" over the top and front of your legs while driving to keep out that freakin' cold wind, water, etc. It was cut just right so it looked like it would not interfere with the foot-pedal operation, putting feet down at stops, quick dismounts, etc.

Anyone else seen these anywhere in Eurpoe? Anyone seen them here in the US? or at least N. America? What are they called? Anyone ever ridden with them? Like/hate? Etc.

What you see is the blanket on SCOOTERS,.. not bikes.
But as the front of a scooter and a bike look so much similar, i can imagine your confusion. You can buy that for the Burgman scooter. Not for the VWee.

What Nero said.
They won't help your legs, but you might check out Hippo Hands.
