You're crazy.
You won't hear valve noise at cruising speeds.

Changed oil and filter 400 miles ago with Ecstar r9000 full synthetic 10w40OK, I'll add my .02 cents...What is your oil viscosity and mileage since last oil change?
Thanks for your insightsThe strom engine is noisy.
The regular valve check is soon enough.
We are all crazy. We ride motorcycles. You're crazy.
Actually around 75-85 mph indicated in 6th gear. Probably 5500-6000rpm. Running 16T counter sprocket. What is your mph and what gear are you in when this happens. I think we are all assuming 65mph and 5k rpm. Is that right?
I thought so also, but the effect increases when revving with clutch squeezedMore likely the drive chain
I’ll take a look a the front sprocket. It’s pretty new as I replaced the original with a 16T maybe 1000-1500 miles ago. When you squeeze the clutch you are unloading the drive chain & gearbox, this could account for the extra noise.
Have a very good look at the front sprocket to ensure it's not hooked, they wear faster than the rear.
Could be.More likely the drive chain
