Engine knock?

Hi I have 2004 vstrom 650, I have noticed in last 10,000km's increased engine noise, and it is getting worse.
It seems that noise is knocking noise and coming from Front cylinder (a bit left side I guess from sitting position.
I have tried to record sound, but it is quite windy, but you might hear it.
It is noticeable only on acceleration. Please let me know if you have any ideas how to test it better, or should I prepare to fix engine this winter. Thanks!

I don't want to negative here but that doesn't sound healthy. I'd recommend not riding until the cause is found.
Open to correction, that rattle sounds to me, like it may be coming from the cam chain tensioner or the cam chain.

I will be doing some valve maintenance this winter, will check tensioner with chain also. Thanks for advice!

First thing I would check are the valves. As the rev's go up so does the ticking.
Simple enough to check them.

You'll also want to rule out an exhaust leak, I had one from the front manifold and it had a similar sound
