Found a white 4 place connector by the evap cannister, pulled the cap off and jumped the orange and black with white tracer wires together but the C00 didn't come up on the dash. Am I missing something? :confused:

I found another white 6 place connector towards the rear of the clutch lever side of the bike. It's capped off and has 4 wires going to it. Is this it? And which wires to jump?

First, check for a blown fuse. Predominantly orange wires are ignition on hot and B/W wires are ground so you probably created a dead short. The mode select coupler on the 2012 on the left near the tool pouch. The wires to connect to engage dealer mode or Diagnostic Trouble Code detection are White/Red & Black/White, the same as they have been for years.

Fuse didn't blow. It was the red/white wire to black/white wire in the 6 position connector by the tool pouch on the left side.

I found the SDS connector also, not too far from the DTC connector.

I take it you meant clutch lever side as the clutch is on the other side.
