DL650 In-gear whistling noise at 4-6 gear and higher rpm

This morning when I rode to work I heard some high pitch intermittent whistling noise at higher gear (4-6) and higher rpm (above 3500). The sound became higher pitch and more frequent as rpm went up. It sounded exactly like when I release throttle and it jerks forward when engine breaking but this time it was consistent as long as it's in higher gear. This may have been happened for a few days as I did not notice as much due to wind noise.
I got this 08 650 last year as my first bike with 52k miles on it, didn't really have any issue until now. Any help would be appreciated!

My chain/sprocket made some whine/whistling at certain road speeds. After replacement all was quiet.

Thanks for the input. I'll do a chain tune up and oil change to see if they help.

Most of us find that running the chain no tighter than 1.25 inches, works better. If your chain doesn’t stay in adjustment, it is likely dying.
I looked up some other threads that talked about the front wheel speed sensor. I took it apart and applied some grease and now the noise is gone.
