Anyone know what the tension is for the Cam Chain Guide? (Goes over the top of the Cam Chain, held down by 3 bolts)

The manual simply says "Install the cam chain guide"

No torque is given.
They were tight to break.

No, but it'll be generic.

If you can't find it elsewhere measure the bolt diameter and look up steel in aluminium on the net.

Go a little on the low side since it'll be well lubed - the amount to lower the torque should be there somewhere as well.
The other option is to use a low strength threadlocker to ensure they won't back out.

It's also in the manual where they have generic torque values. Pg 9-43. If I remember correctly, they are 5mm, so 2ftlb./24inlb. About what a screw driver would apply?

I misread the part. IIRC, the bolts are 6mm. That would mean 7lb-ft dry or 5.6lb-ft oily.

When I did the first valve adjustment a few weeks ago I remember those bolts "cracking" loose and they appeared to have the residue of loctite on them so I used some blue loctite when I replaced them.I figured it couldn't hurt as I sure wouldn't want any of them to come loose in there.
