I've been looking for a while now for a headlight protector that is stable and can easily be removed for cleaning. As this headlight lens is probably acrylic it has already a stone chip so it makes good sense to protect it.
The one I was looking at was $200 and had metal arms either side of the headlight which made of difficult to clean behind.

So I bought some acrylic sheeting, cut myself out a cardboard template and got to it. As part of my design I had to make sure the cover was far away enough from the headlight so it didn't rub.

After I cut out my first cover I then cut two other side sections from the template to give it some gap from the headlight.
To secure the side sections I used a heavy duty clear Velcro straight into the headlight.

And here is the finished product.
It can easily be removed for cleaning or replaced with another cover if it gets too damaged.

Anyway I hope this post has been helpful and given you a few ideas.

Nice job! I would treat it as a consumable and replace it every 2 or 3 years as needed, rather than protecting the protector.

All good though.
