Hello guys,

At the moment front + rear the OEM (Bridgestone) are fitted.

For my upcoming 6000 km trip, I opted to change the rear tire as it has already 7000 Km on it and I'm not sure it can hold up for the trip. Also taking into consideration that I will do Oodonata track on it.

Now, I have purchased the rear tire (Shinko E705) and it just hit me... should I change the front tire as well ?

Should I ride the bike with same tires front and back ?

Again, will do Oodonata track on the tires. Will be like this and this.

Anyone any advice ? It's free :)

They are similar tread patterns, so I wouldn't think there would be any handling surprises, just feel it out for the first few km on different surfaces, and maybe experiment a bit with front/rear tyre pressure differential if the handling feels different.

I've mixed and matched tires, only the most discerning rider on the track would appreciate the difference.
The Shinko works just fine.I get 5-6K miles out of a rear at 40psi.
