Does anybody out there know if someone has created a die-cast model of the V-Strom (either version), in any scale? I have done some looking on e-bay and other sources, and have yet to come across anything. I try to pick up die-cast replicas of each vehicle I own, as well as the "wish list'.
If one does NOT exist, would there be any interest from this forum to have one developed? Common scales include 1/6 (about a 12"/30 cm long), 1/12 (6"/15 cm), or 1/18 (ca. 4"/10 cm). I have contacted a current manufacturer with a decent motorcycle line (Maisto) about it, and they "cannot deny or confirm" plans to develop a model, but would add it to their list of considerations. I also have a friend in the model business (mostly military stuff) who might be willing to produce one, if a guaranteed minimum quantity could be assured and Suzuki isn't too insane with licensing fees. Because it would be a limited production run, cost would be somewhat higher than a mass-production piece from Maisto or New Ray.
