Good to hear some here are enjoying their Delkevic. I had one on my honda 919 and loved it for the price. I've got a 14" stainless oval in cart, waiting for next month to purchase and get one on my 15 Vstrom.

I have had a Delkevic oval 350 mm ( 14" ) exhaust KIT04H2 fitted to my bike , ordered from Australia .

When I went to pick it up from the dealer it had no baffle . As soon as I started it up I knew it was too loud ( I've already got tinnitus ) .

I asked the mechanic to put in the baffle that comes with it - a short stubby one .

Off I went for a ride but after a short time I knew I needed ear plugs with this set up .

Put ear plugs in & my ears are okay but I still think the exhaust is too loud .

Have a look on the computer at blogs about making it quieter & see there is a longer baffle that is manufactured .

The only over sized baffle I see is from Delkevic Ebay based in the UK so I order it .

The next day I get a message from Joe in the UK to say order thru Delkevic Australia because it'll be cheaper & faster to reach me and he'll refund my initial purchase .

Bloody good of him to do that , that's amazing customer service - GOOD ON DELKEVIC UK !!!

Find the relevant item part PR2737 eventually on the Aussie website & order it . ( In fact this part was more expensive than ordering thru Ebay but delivery was 1 week instead of 5 weeks )

Its longer than the original baffle , easy to fit then I take the bike for a ride up the motorway to try it out .

Great stuff just the noise I was looking for .

Not too loud to require ear muffs all the time eg a run down to the shops or a short journey out .

The bike definitely has a nice rumble now without being too intimidating and the stainless pipe looks amazing plus I do notice the bike is slightly lighter to push around , bonus .

Importantly this system wasn't too over the top price wise for a good result as I've spent @#$% loads on farkles ( I don't regret anything ) .

So to recap I think the new exhaust is outstanding with the over sized baffle fitted .

Delkevic makes some really good stuff for the price. You can figure if the length of the can is shorter
the sound when installed will be louder. And yes sometimes the baffles don't offer much help.

The longer can versions like the 14" and up can be tailored to do a good job of giving you the performance
you want and the sound quality that does not rattle windows. You might even be better off getting a 16" to 18"
can option and then you might not need as much in terms of baffling.

The nice thing about Delkevic is they offer many different options for YOU to pick from. Just remember the shorter cans
look great but are god aweful loud. The prices are the best on the aftermarket.

Can't say on the weld bash plate, but I had to modify my Outback Motortek to fit. Ended up lowering the right side 1/4" or so.
Yeah I have a bad feeling it won't fit without mods, weird as I have plenty of room/clearance with the OEM system. I really do miss hearing that sweet deep bark of that race twin, but not at the risk of losing my plate or having to modify it.

An update about the 14" muffler I found it too noisy for me .

The noise was driving my tinnitus nuts so I've switched to the longer 18" with the longest baffle Delkevic make .

All good .

I can comfortably travel for a hour or longer with no ill effects .

The bike still emits a much better rumble than the original with a weight saving and it looks pretty good too .
