New guy here, I have been lurking for several years but recently registered and I rode a Vee a couple days ago and am thinking about making a switch over to a Strom, I liked most everything about it and am curious about the Wee. I have ridden several SV650's but have not spent any time on a Wee. I commute anywhere from 60 to 110 miles a day and need to be comfy but I sold my DS bikes and my last working dirt bike a few weeks ago and there are tons of dirty opportunities to get myself into on the way home so UI want something a little more capable than the Uly for off tarmac.
I love the Ulysses and have owned 4 Buells over the last 12 years but I think it's just time for a change.
Any insight on either Wee or Vee and has anyone went from a Uly over to a Strom?
Mine is a 2009 XB12XP (police Ulysses) and is in excellent shape with 18,000 miles and I am thinking on trading it for a Strom.

Don't know anything about compared to the Uly.

But I do know the Wee is an awesome all round bike [and basically has the SV650 motor with the power band retuned to be more civil on dirt while still having excellent performance an undeniable longevity and reliability].

I "stepped down" from a BMW GS1150 and I don't miss it one bit.

The Wee will surprise you and just keeps getting faster as the mileage builds up and the engine beds in [mine has 46,000+km on it and performance just keeps getting better :fineprint: ].

I went from an 06 Uly to a Wee. the Uly has a great suspension and I sure do miss that. It did not take long to get accustomed to the power difference, but I am probably gong to go to a 14 tooth front sprocket when I replace the chain. The ease of maintence is about the same except for when you do need to check the valves, and replacing the air cleaner is a little more complicatd on the Wee. I also followed this forum for about a year and my wife had a wee so I was familiar with the bike before the purchase of mine. Also with the Wee you have a larger selection of dual purpose tires to chose from. The only reason I moved from the Uly to the Wee was that I was left stranded alongside the road 3 times due to electrical problems with the Uly. If Hardley had not pulled the plug on Buell I was going to trade up to a 2011 or 12 model when they came out for my retirement bike. Eric consitently impoved the Uly every year and made all the necessary improvements, but alas Hardley did their thing. No regrets so far.

I find the Wee pretty comfortable. I am 6' 200 lbs and enjoy it's all around ride and handling. I had sold my CBR F4i & opted for the more upright ergos of the Wee. Normally I ride 66 miles round trip to work and I enjoy the good gas mileage on the Wee (about 55-57 mpg avg. in my riding).

I test rode a Uly a few years ago while I had a VFR. It was more fun than my Wee for sure and way more comfy than my VFR. What a wheelie bike the Uly is. Aside from minimal wheelies on the Wee, it does everything else well. The Wee revs out much better than the Uly and is just as comfortable.

I'd take a Uly, Wee, or Vee over a VFR any day. I'm much more about comfort on longer rides and easy access to oil changes.
