I just got this yesterday and it's great!! It's a cruise control for the DL650 for $199 from Brakeaway.

It fits the stock grips for the DL650 but for the DL1000 and if you have the grip guards, you have to cut off the lower plastic ear for the bolt that holds the front brake lever in place.

This thing works fantastic! The bottom lever locks the grip in place, but you can still rotate the throttle for small changes. It releases by pushing the lever above the botton or by pulling on the front brake lever. It is CNC machined and looks like a little jewel. see http://www.brakeawayproducts.com/
and watch the demo to see how it works.

It's just awesome :D

I use a Universal Vista Cruise that cost $50.00 and it works perfectly

That's an interesting way of doing it but $199? And people gave me a hard time for spending $79 on my Kaoko throttle lock. :?

Yeah, I know it's costly, but this not a cheap plastic device. It is also the easiest and safest (not having to take your hand off the throttle to operate it), and not in the way if you're not using it. I have over 20,000 miles on my '04 DL650 and I so wished I had found this sooner. For those rides over 1hr, it's nice not to have your wrist, hand, shoulder ache from having to hold the throttle. It disengages with a grab of the front brake or a touch of a lever, without removing your hand or distracting your focus on riding. For me, in how well it works I feel it's worth the price.

It's kinda like discussing how much to pay for a good helmet. It depends on what you want from it and expect it to do for you.

(Can't believe I spelled button as "botton" in my first post  )

It certainly seems to work slick in the video. Nice looking too but the $$ are a bit much to my way of thinking. Of course I have not used it and would probably love it if I had it. Bottom line, your money, your choice and if you are happy with the product then all is well in the world. Cruise On.
