No experience swapping parts but owned both models and I think most parts are not compatible between Gen1B (2007-2011) and Gen2 (2012-2016) bikes. The engine, frame and body work was completely redesigned going from Gen1B ==> Gen2 but some parts are compatible. To check compatibility between years I use Powersports of Carol Stream because they still have a "where used" feature if you do a parts search by Suzuki part number. A lot of parts sites have dropped that feature but it is pretty useful for cross checking compatibility across the years when buying used, etc.
For example, I selected the Inner Front Shock Tube P# 51110-27G00 for a 2009 Wee and on the far right of the results if you click on "where used" it shows that it was used on all Wees from 2004 to 2011 (i.e. Gen1). Alternatively, I selected a 2009 Wee Air Filter P# 13780-27G10 and then click on "where used" and see that it is compatible with all Wees from 2007 to 2022.
Reversing that and getting the P# 51103-11J00 for a 2012 Wee Front Right shock and doing a "where used" shows that if you buy on ebay, etc. your front shock parts need to come from a Gen2 only (2012-2016). That is for the whole shock but some of the sub-components might be same between years but you'd have check.
