I bought a handlebar riser for my wee, and got a longer brakeline from Blair Layton at SV Racing parts. I would like to thank Blair here on the forum for all the kind emailing he did with me as I tried to bleed the lines properly. I hope that is an OK thing to do here.

There is a little bit of a story that goes along with this: When I got under my seat to get out my tools, I found that my tool bag had been chewed to shreds. There were also butterfly wings, grasshopper legs, and a big nest. A mouse had been under there. But the mouse was gone. In its place was a snake skin. I don't know if the snake ate the mouse, or what. But I am sure thankful none of those critters came crawling up the back of my jacket while I was riding down the highway.:yikes:

You had a whole circle of life under your seat! :yikes:

I'm glad my bike's population consists exclusively of spiders. Many are tenacious enough to ride many hundreds of miles. The webs apparently can withstand 70mph wind, because they frequently remain firmly attached as well.

Don't guess mine's ever set still long enough for something to nest in it, but have taken on a few passengers.

The most interesting one was a small frog. He had suction cup feet and could cling to about anything. It got too distracting watching him crawl and hop around the instrument cluster, handle bars, tankbag, mirror, etc. I had to end his ride.

critters

On DL 1000 (12K) I only have black ants eating the dead bugs. Oh and a dead bird that committed suicide and ended up down in the Fairing Bermuda Triangle where all the tools, nuts and bolts disappear. My dog found the bird via the dead bird smell. Then I had to fish it out with long pliers:yikes:.

Moth balls or a moth block during storage helps keep many critters away.
