It is cool, but unnecessary and very heavy. If a truck gains roughly 100 lbs from getting covered in bed liner, a bike would probably soak up an extra 15-20 lbs. depending on what brand you use. underbody or rubber undercoating is lighter and cheaper, comes in a convenient spray can as well.
Painted a bike with a lot less plastic than ours with spray-can bedliner a few years ago. All i had was fenders and a tank, so there wasn't all that much acreage to cover. Worked just fine, was as close to bulletproof as anything I've ever had and, once I had some pinstripe flames put on it, looked just fine. Easy to clean, nothing stuck to it, and it was damn near impossible to damage.
Spray can application lets you put it on thin, not 1/8" thick like commercial bedliners do, so it wasn't especially heavy.
