Wow, I swear I am not this short! I just put a brand new Corbin on and was really freaked out by how high it made the bike. I installed 1 1/2" lowering links and dropped the front end about a 1/4" and I am still on my toes! I am 5'9", 30" inseam and am scratching my head as I figured I would be flat footed. What gives? Should I drop the front more or does this sound right? I am curious to know if the Sargent is a better seat for height. man, how does anyone smaller than me ride this bike?

I feel your pain. You can send it to Corbin and they will do a nose job.If you are the original owner it may be free. The seat itself isn't taller it is much wider than the stock seat making it harder to reach the ground.

It must be an issue of how "cut out" the seat material closest to the tank is rather than seat height. My sargent is supposed to be taller than stock, but I flat foot even easier w/ it because it's cut out better for the legs. Never tried a corbin. Another thing I noticed, when I have my full luggage on; topcase and sidecases-the bike sits noticeably lower. Even w/ out being loaded, but loading them seems to lower it even more.

You sure you have the front of the Corbin seated properly?

I have a 30" inseam and I am fully comfortable on my Sargent, even with the Wilber's spring lifting the back of my bike. I have no lowering links and the fork tubes are up, maybe 1/4" in the clamps.

Nose job?

I too, have a corbin and it is wide at the front and I'm 6'1'' and a 31" inseam and I can't flat foot mine either I have gotten used to "dirt bike style" stops with left foot on the peg and sliding off to the right alittle to steady the beast. I feel it's a small price to pay to not have a sore butt at the end of the day! I'll have to look into this nose job business.
