I noticed this connector flopping around while riding my '09 the other day. It appears to be secured only with a nylon tie around the upper cable a couple inches above the connector shield assembly, with nothing securing the lower cable. Is this normal? Is something missing?

I also note that the left side plastic cover which hides the connector appears to have a pocket on the bottom with no drain hole which looks to me like would fill with water when riding in the rain. Is there an "inner cover" or something similar missing from this bike?

(I'm beginning to remember why I sold my first Wee; I prefer naked bikes without all the plastic fairing nonsense. Guess I'll learn to live with it on this one because of all the other virtues of the Wee.)

It actually stays pretty dry in there. Also, water would have to climb up the the inner cover from the bottom. It isn't a problem. I put my fuse block, HID ballast and a power socket in that area with no problem.

Thanks for the reassurance... guess I'll have to look elsewhere for something to worry about.
