I'm going to put a trip report on the site but the photos only show up as a thumb nails. I want to put the pictures in with the writing. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong or how to place a full sized picture in the article. Thanks D

Darryl, an easier way might be to use one of the free web hosting sites, like Webshots to post your pictures in an album or slide show. It's very easy and you can add text, etc. Then you take the link that Webshots gives you for that slide show/album and post it here in the forum. Other can then click that link and go to the slide show/album.

Here's an example - not fancy but you get the idea: http://family.webshots.com/album/558228810GaUGhS

Below is a photo that I use as my signature. You could do several photos like that with text, but I think it's easier to just do an album. Whichever route you take have fun and thanks for sharing your pictures!

If you want the photos to appear full size on this site you need to have them hosted somewhere on the Internet that allows linking (Flickr or Photobucket are popular places).
Once the photos are on the web then simply start typing your trip report and insert the URL of the photo in the appropriate place by clicking on the "Insert Image" icon (looks like a mountain with the sun shining) above where you enter you text.
It pays to have two browser windows open, one for this site and one of the location of your photos so you can switch back and forward to capture URL's.
