It's your money, but just a LED replacement bulb will do a great job, I also added a pair of cheap LED AUX lights, tons of lights for a total of US$70

Oh I’ll probably install auxiliaries at some point too. I really like the look of the headlight but I’m kinda tempted to cheap out. I put in a low offer this morning if they take it I’ll be the owner of a assembly otherwise I’m buying auxitos.

I installed LED bulbs in my 18 1000(Also my 05 650) and there is a fair improvement , but the auxiliaries make the biggest difference. I like riding at night as long as my vision is good. The extra lights can also be aimed to the sides some. Deer are a big concern here and that extra light to the shoulder area means a few more seconds of reaction time. LED's also seem to light up eyeballs much better.(Along w/ anything reflective).

Well I ordered Adventuretech Footpeg lowering kit and Auxiliary Light kit with harness and bracket. Basically for $100 more I have auxiliaries and a set of leds for the headlight and peg relocation kit. Rather then a Chinese headlight that kinda looks cool lol.

I don't have it on mine, but the OP pic of the headlight are good quality
