Today I wanted to change my front tire in preparation for a day trip to Wilwood NJ tomorrow. While I was at it I thought I'd thrown on Murph's centerstand, which turned out to be anything but a "throw-on" (Chinese hardware issues). While I was down there I adjusted my clutch and in the process noticed that about half (maybe more) of the cable strands at the lever were broken. Naturally none of the dealers in my area stock this.

Replacing the clutch cable has to be easy, but I still like to read about it in the manual. The problem is I can't find it and I'm a bit disgusted and tired. Does anyone know where in the manual this is covered, or is it so simple it's not worth mentioning? Can you just tie the new one to the old one and pull it through? Now that would be easy.

BTW 32000 mi on the clutch cable, never lubed since not called for in the manual, but I will grease the ends from now on.
