I do not think you need a chain tensioner these days .Modern good quality X or O ring chains with a lubeman should be all you need, well lubricated chains do not " stretch" as they do not wear nearly as fast. Chains that are over tight are a bigger problem ,losse is better than tight.Clean your chain, spend the money on a lubeman set it up adjust your chain and RIDE.
This is provided your sprockets are aligned correctly.
Not overly fond of my Loobman. Keeps slipping when out on wash board gravel roads, and still have to put it on the centerstand to clean the chain with a grunge brush to get the dust and dirt off anyway. So may as well spray the chain when I am cleaning it.
Looks like a good idea, and worked fine on smooth roads.
