I'm kind of looking forward to getting out on the road too. I picked up a Sargent seat this winter as well. Don't know about shipping costs to Canada, but I got mine from Sandhills Powersports and picked it up from an address in the US so shipping was free. I went with the optional silver welt on mine and it was US$321.56. The standard, black welt is US$311.56.

Been looking for bar risers, seem kind of expensive though (?) Which risers did you go with? What sort of price were they, and do you find a difference with them (how tall are you?)
Sorry for all the questions, I am a new owner of an '07 650. I am 6' 1" and find I am leaning just a little too far forward when riding for my comfort (I am an old fart and I have a niggling cramp in my upper shoulderblade area which seems to be aggravated by leaning slightly forward)

Cheers

You want some econo risers?

Do what i did, I had an old suzuki gs850 laying around, removed the bar clamps, turned them upside down, placed under my Strom bars, used Strom clamp on top. They matched up perfectly and look like they belong. Canadian tire for some 1" longer allan head bolts.

Bobs ur uncle.

Very nice change.

Cheers!

Here's who to ask.

Merv, I know who has the risers you may want. His name is Charlie Pope, and he goes by the name cpope here. His risers lift the bars about an inch and a half, and bring them back about 3/4 of an inch. It may be enough to make a big difference to you. If you visit the Florida section, you can read about the "4 for Texas" ride, when Charlie and Lou and I rode from North Florida to Central Texas in back this March. Charlie and I are about your age, and I think the risers matter a lot to Charlie.

I'm in the GTA for a few months, and I hope to see you on a ride soon.

Best wishes,
Keith
