Can I get it through a door?

Hello Stormtroopers

I'm seriously looking at a DL1050XT.

But I have to park it in my shed where the door is only 80cm / 31 inches.

Can I get it through the door? Anyone with experience?

Should be able to get through no problem. Might have to take the handle bars full lock l/r as you are pushing through. Saddle bags might also need removed.

Any possibility of modding the shed to add another door/half door!

Yes.

You "swim" the bars through and generally I find it is easier (if you are adequately tall to support the weight) to do it while sitting on the bike under power, as opposed to being on the side of the bike pushing in neutral.

I can park in my carport in the summer when I use the bike 🤞

Unfortunately, I cannot change the shed as it is rented
I roll a bunch of bikes into my center room of basement. I do take off the bags, but no issues.

I wouldn't want to do it everyday but would definitely do it to keep the bike out of the elements in the off season.
Long ago in a galaxy far away that was the way every work day began and ended. We walked all the used inventory bikes out of the showroom to park them in front of the shop. 'Swim" the bars through the door opening is a descriptive term for it.

The bonus was that the boss would usually point at a few bikes at the end of the day and tell us they needed their batteries charged, meaning take it for a ride. I gladly did so.

I had the same issue with my 2020 Wee. Simply replaced my 30" shed door with a 36" one. Pretty easy to do.
Just saw your "rented" note. Too bad....getting through a 30" door is not fun.

I rolled my Bonneville from garage into walkout basement one winter to replace a gear in the transmission. The next morning the whole house stank of gear lubes. Ugh.
