Can anyone identify this skid plate?

I've looked around on the net a bit and can't seem to match it up. Came with the bike and appears to be powder coated steel. Tough and sturdy and I want to know what it weighs.

Looks like mine, ENDUROSTAND? Something like that, can't remember. They were made in Eugene, OR. It's no longer produced.

thx, I guess it's aluminum. It's welded and coated, hard to tell without removing it. I'll just leave it be for now.
use a magnet, aluminum the magnet will not stick

That's it for sure, thanks. Stainless steel. Probably wasn't cheap.

Well after doing some reading, it is probably mild steel. The magnet grabbed pretty hard.
My Cosmo plate is the steel option. It's really not very heavy and the weight is obviously very low slung...lot less than a couple gallons of fuel...
Not like a V-Strom is immune to a few extra pounds.

I agree with you, I'm just going to leave it alone.
I've scoured the forum, and this skid plate is highly regarded for toughness. It's around 13 lbs, and the aluminum is ~9. I use it to jack up my bike without concern too.

Yes, it is an EnduroGuardian and they are virtually bomb proof! Have one on my bike, love it. Yes you jack the bike up with it.

The young guy behind enduro's guardian attended the gathering at The Dalles in Oregon. He looked like the twin of my eldest son.

He had some really good products but gave up after a couple of years. Which is very telling since he worked for a metal fabrication company and they let him use their very sophisticated equipment after hours. It's just been very difficult to do this kind of thing inside the US during the last couple of decades.
