I just installed some front lines on my bike and can not get the brake lever to firm up. I'm not getting any bubbles out of the line and the fluid is coming through but the brakes don't work and the lever just goes to the grip. They are the Galfer brand dual lines.

Thanks for any help that can be given.

braided brake line help

I feel like such a fool. After working on bleeding the brakes for an hour I took a break to regroup. Upon returning to the bike I noticed that the lever was hitting my NEP cruise control. Removed it and now the brakes work great.

So I guess if you install a cruise control make sure that the brake lever clears it so you get the most from your brakes.

I'm glad I could make your day. That was about all I could do too. On the plus side the chain went a lot better and I was able to get in a 90 mile ride today and try everything out. The brake lines really improved the feel of the front brakes.
