The rack is pretty simple, 2' long 1" pvc strengthened by pounding 1" aluminum channel into it. It spans the very back of the seat and allows the bicycle frame to hang off of it. Its secured with a hose clamp on either side. The forks attach to a yakima attachment bolted into the passenger footpeg. My Givi box goes from the side to the top and allows the bicycle to be braced, the front tire just slides on. Each frame is different, my specialized fit perfect, my Intense 5.5 requires a roller off a boat trailer to fill the gap. Very stable at speed
Heres a shot without the bicycle, with a 2' pipe you can actually slide it to center and still be able to open your Givis when not using the bicycle. If you ride two up your friend isn't going to appreciate the rack attachment as it doesn't come off easy once attached.
I'm glad you like the rack, its a great way to get on and off the island without too much expense. Juan, I'm kind of new to the camera/smugmug thing, how do you get the pictures to appear in this forum vs just the links showing up?
