It appears that the Bolt that holds on the front fairing on my 2006 DL650 is either loose or missing. (I haven't had a chance to take it apart to check but the fairing is moving around.)

Do any of you know the bolt size? It is "A" in the picture below.

Google search of the old part number turns up an m8 x 20.

I'd confirm that before I bought a bunch though.

I grabbed an m8 x 20 bolt from my parts department.. I'll try and see tonight if it is the right one.

I grabbed a bolt from parts and went to my bike to see how it would fit in and what tool I needed, and there was the bolt sitting on the top of my lower triple tee! It must have sat there for over 100km! I bolted it in and it seems the fairing doesn't move anymore.

That one is notorious for liberating itself. I added it to my list of regular chassis bolt torque checks.

I hear you, with almost 166,000 km (over 103,000 miles) on my bike this is the first bolt to come loose!

Whoops! There's a lesson in there for me too -- don't assume that just because it's never loosened up that it won't! Thanks for throwing that in.
