Bogggg 7k rpm

How y’all doing. First time posting look forward to everyone’s knowledge. Bought a 2008 VStrom DL650 4 months ago. New it had a ride ability issue. Would bog down at 7k rpm. Following intel from forum removed fuel pump cleaned, replaced screen, repaired corroded contacts. Drained, rinsed, filled with vinaigure let set, drained/rinsed tank. Turned out nice/was bad rust. Note:did not coat inside of tank. Road about 1k miles (just put new Shinko’s on it lol) & road tested tires to find same ride ability issue as before. Has anyone had a reoccurring issue with this “bogging at 6-7k rpm”? Running non ethanol gas & tank looks same inside as when cleaning was done. Greatly appreciate any help/info

You need to do a fuel flow test, a blocked high pressure filter is the most likely cause.

If it fails the test this may work for you ?

Thank you. Do you know where I might find info on procedures for test? I don’t have a manual

Likely a candidate for bypass. If it turns out that way, do yourself a favor and don't use the giant honking filters people have used in the past - I went with a wix 33095 and it fits neatly within the existing routing of the fuel line. That's one of probably many that would work.
