So after rebuilding the slave cylinder I was having trouble bleeding it. So I took it off and held it in my hand. Then I pumped the lever a few times until the piston moved out some. Now I opened the bleeder and pushed the cylinder in with my thumb. I did that a couple times (until the air was gone) then put it back on.
I think being as it would not travel when it was against the push rod I couldn't get fluid to flow so couldn't get the trapped air out. It takes several pumps in the begining to get the piston to move.
Anyway thats how I did it and it works smoother as well.
