Oh sure, now you release the black ones...

Just put my silver Motech skid plate on with my black crash bars about a week ago.
Just today I took a ride and was standing next to my bike and my exact thought was... 'Those look nice but it would look a lot better if the skid plate was black.'
Even in silver I think the crash bars/skid plate are great. Very easy to install. All the parts lined up like they were suppose to and all the necessary bolts and hardware were included (not always the case with some other stuff I've ordered from other companies). They look great and should do a good job at light duty protection in case of a mishap.
Now if I can just talk myself into justifying the price of that gas mount tankbag I'll be all set.
Thanks for the great products.

Looks nice. I have the crashbars and I'm planning to get that skidplate at some point. I was going to have it either powdercoated black or get it coated with black spray-on truck bedliner. This will save me some trouble. I don't want anything chrome or shiny on the bike if I can help it - I prefer a blacked-out appearance.

BTW, I have that locking gas-mount tankbag and it's great. I commute daily on the bike and I keep the garage door opener and all my stuff that would otherwise be in my pockets in the bag. Locks securely and easy to take with me once I get to work. One modification I did to it was to remove the big "pull" ribbon and attach the lanyard to the bag handle directly. I don't normally leave the bag on the bike, but I didn't want to broadcast to the curious that the lanyard was something to be pulled.

Jet Jaguar,

I know the secret to Soylent Green also. There's probably a lot of people on this site that don't know what we're talking about. Younger people miss everything.

However, Blockbuster still has the movie.

Will this skid plate work with the Givi crash bars. The tube of the Givi crash bars that crosses in front of the engine looks similarly located to the one on SW Motech crash bars.

They can be adapted to attach to the Givi crashbars on the DL1000. 1" U-bolts work well as well as the 1" Rubber coated straps found in a hardware store. It's been documents in some of the order forums.

How about adapting this skid plate to Hepco Becker bars? Anyone done it?
