I have a Bestem T Box 929 top case and the mounting doesn't seem very secure. I put some 1/4" foam tape between the mount and the box to take up some of the slack and it worked for a while but over time the foam has compressed the the wobble is back. Anyone come up with a fix?

I use a mouse pad; cut it in half to make 2 layers.

I used rubber grommets that they make after you put a hole into a firewall of a vehicle to run wires. Make sure it's the correct size, put a little soap on it and slide it over the two font tabs. Just make sure when you put the top box on that the grommets are between the top box and mounting plate.

Been working for me for the last 4 years...:beatnik:

I'm gonna wrap some rubbery stuff around the mount plate pins that stick up, to take up the slack where the top case fits into the pins.

I do the mouse pad thing, but the loose fit pins allow the topcase to wiggle fore/aft and side to side. Mouse pad only stops the up and down!

I found some heater hose and picked up a foot of it from the local hardware store and cut a piece that fit over the existing rubber mounts. I seem to recall it had 1/2" ID and I cut the length to take up the excess slack when mounted. Seemed to do the trick for me since my self adhesive rubber bumpers and stuff eventually either moved or fell off. I also used a thick mouse pad initially.
