I have them in my DL and last week doing spirited riding on the tail of the dragon, the snake and many other tight twisty roads I had problem getting the rear to melt and stick like glue.

Was the rear perfoming well by not melting while pressed hard, or did not perform well due to not sticking to the road?
Am considering the Evos as well as Pilot Road 4 and Trailrider (misnamed as its really a street tire).
From other sites, it seems the Evos are not quite as good in dry conditions as the PR4s, however they are plenty good, at a much lower price point.
In wet conditions, the PR4s rule, based on reviews.

Spirited riding caused tire tear/melt as one would expect from the tire being up to temp. Tires performed well with no drama or surprises.

Nice. Do you think their life is likely to be "normal" as compared to other tires, or short, based on wear you describe? How many miles on your set?
Can you compare them to other tires you have experience with?
Thanks for the info!

I would be hesitant on the trailriders, been more than a few upset with very poor mileage especially out of the rear. I was looking at them before I went 705s lots of complaints on other sites. Seems like the dual compound isn't what it should be. If they make the Storm 3d in our sizes that would be a good Avon road tire for sure.

T30 and the T30 evo are realy different (Bridgestone says) and most of the posts are talking about the t30. I will post reviews as the milage go up. I'was just wondering if i made a good choice because i got them realy cheap (in Québec).

They do, and the best price I could find is $269 @ American Motorcycle Tire American Motorcycle Tire
The T30 evos are significantly lower in price @ the same site, $215 for a set.

Thanks for the info on the Trailrider. Still interested in finding out more on the T30 evo :smile2:

I have Avon Storm 3D's on my '12 650. I only have about 1000 miles on them, but they have been great so far.
