So I did a stupid thing and went over a curb that was too tall without a bash plate on. Put a dent in the exhaust and shifted it backwards. Now I don't know how much really moved back or if shifted from both header pipes. Mounting bolts are at an angle. I'm thinking maybe new harware and bushings but has anybody had a similar experience? Looking for some insight before loosening things up.

I've been worried about doing this, as I go off of curbs all the time, but it hasn't happened to me yet. I'm curious to hear what the extent of the damage is.

Bash plate

That is the reason I fitted a weld 86 bash plate to my bike. I took a shortcut over a curb and luckily only grounded my centre stand. When I looked at the damage I realized how vulnerable the exhaust pipes are, got and fitted the bash plate ASAP. Hope you can realign your pipes ok.

I got a pretty good dent in the front header when I first got the bike. I had to replace the header gasket and re-set the pipe, but it has been fine since.
