Bar end weights falling out, getting lost!

I've lost a few. Couldn't figure out what was happeninng. Now I'm thinking that it might be the fact that I'm cleaning the inside of the bars TOO MUCH! I've been using a swab soaked with carb. cleaner to clean it out. Maybe it's too clean to hold the bar ends?:headbang:
