Newbie to the biking world,bought a 2007 Dl 650 with 40000 km in great shape.Got my license June 12 and left on a 8500 km cross Canada ride on June 25.All I can say is what a great bike,kept up with my buddies one riding a Ducati Multi the other on a CBR 1100,bike never missed a beat.I averaged 62 mpg,that includes 3 days across the prairies at 130 + kmh,both other bikes stopped for repairs along the way.Installed a gel seat and my butt thanked me for it.Should have got a bike years ago!!

Excellent choice!
I plan to ride to the Maritimes next year. I was looking around for a bigger touring machine - I think I'll stick with the Wee.
