am working on a template to make my tool. I drew this, so I could print multiple copies.

Seem correct to you?

When I made mine, I never took measurements......

I just fit the piece of pipe to the nut, right on the stem. In effect, I "scribed" the piece of pipe, to the nut, without taking measurements.

Nice drawing though! It will be very helpful to those you have the skills and tools necessary to make their own!

The OEM tool has an outer diameter of 45mm. The pins are inset 1mm, pin thickness is 2mm x 4mm lengthwise and they are inset 2 mm from the inner circle, which is 33mm.

BTW, after I bought mine, I found a much cheaper version on eBay, although the Suzuki tool is top quality.

When I had the ring nut off while adjusting my steering stem bearings, I measured it: Outside diameter of the nut is 42 mm and the distance between inside edges of opposite notches is 36 mm.
