Thought this might be a popular place to stick your fav apps....not just nav...weather etc.

I just came across this as I was tired of trying to find the play and stop button - this solves that BIG time :D

There might be an Android version.

My other GoTo Apps for off network are TomTom, CoPilot ( in Australia ) and GoogleMaps for local stuff on network

My phone is mounted on

RAM Universal X-Grip® Cell/iPhone Cradle Unpackaged - RAM-HOL-UN7BU | RAM Mounts

Audible for books which I really fine makes the time go by quickly on the slab.

Any off road apps out there?
BackCountryNavigator is a very slick one...let's you cache maps for non-data areas, read and write tracks, and the VERY excellent Accuterra Topo Maps are available for a small fee or you can use several free mapping sources (including aerial views).

A wonderful (but not perfect!) App is the weather add-on for the Garmin 590 (and I'm sure the 595 ). This will give you active weather warnings, weather radar, warning of slippery roads(from wet to ice and snow covered) plus temperature where you are and on your route and at your destination.

Sandy and I went for a bit of a ride after Romney and while riding I could tell which way we should go to get out of rain and to avoid real heavy rain.

And, while it doesn't work if you don't have a data connection, it works perfectly welll with soaking wet gloves in the middle of a heavy downpour. It isn't much money. I think one time charge of about $5 or so

Have any of you used their traffic app? Much more expensive but I could see it being useful with it's dynamic re-routing.

More importantly, what about the cup holder? Is it a ram mount? How big of "cup" can it hold?
Yeah RAM mount and it CAN hold a 750 mm bottle but 500 is safer - at speed the 750s tend to fly away when partially empty.

No idea who Red Lips is but I adore the big buttons.

Furkot will give you access to EveryTrail and US Forest Service - this is a for instance

All those listed on the right are rides with descriptions - there are also user uploaded routes
The line of stuff bottom right gives you access to a variety of motorcycle route guides for each region you want.

Furkot will import and export GPX etc.

Here is an over view

I am always using an app called GPS Speedometer which displays Speed, Direction and Altimeter information. It is easy to switch between MPH and KPH and since it uses satellite (free) it works everywhere, even places where there is no cell service. No data plan needed.

It is way more accurate than my bike speedo and the Altimeter is very interesting while traveling around.

One thing to watch for, it does not timeout and turn your phone off to save power, so you need to be connected to bike power for this or it will kill your phone battery.
