I went last year and discovered a great event at a very affordable cost. Rides were great, classes were excellent, food was amazing and the never ending door prizes in the evening were even better.

Going again this year, was wondering if any riders from Ottawa or district are going to be adventuring as well.

No More Loose Visor!
The visor on my C3 would not stay open so I installed these and presto, good as new. Please read the instructions because the mechanisms are specific to the left and right side of the helmet. Took about 10-15 to make the switch, easy.
Fixes wandering faceshield on C3 Pro...
These overpriced plastic pieces are must have for your helmet.
I carry a spare set just in case.
Fixed my shield from not staying on the height I would set it at.
Schuberth should include an extra set of these with every helmet.
If I know today would be in next week.

Well the weather was great. All that threatening weather was just a worry.

Met up with some riders from the last meet and met some more. Even won 2 helmets at the door prize draws :)

Definitely going again next year.

I sure did.
On the way into the States the woman Border Agent asked where I was headed. There was a continuous line up of Harleys going to Americade so she was surprised when I told her I was going camping! Not sure she believed me, when I started the bike up to leave I heard her saying 'Everyone is going to Lake George and your going camping'?

The V-Strom is obviously to heavy shock wise to take on hill climbing with boulders but it performed very in in mud, dirt and gravel trails. I had just put a new K-60 Scout on the back for this trip and it performed excellent. At one hill I had to go full stop on a steep incline as an African Twin went down in front of me. Once he was assisted up the hill I tried to advance but that rear tire just ate the trail and dug a hole up to the disk brake. Just not enough momentum to get going. The other riders dismounted and got me turned around and I rode back down. From then on we each rode up the hills after the other guy made the top.

In the photo that's Rick reading my Canadian Motorcycle magazine. He is from PA and was reading the article on PA roads to see if he had missed some riding opportunities. That wasn't his African Twin that went down in front of me. In fact neither of us went down but the guy beside my tent totally lost his BMW in a water crossing and two riders on Suzuki loaner bikes struck deer. I spotted a bear, he spotted me and continued on his way.
