Anyone planning to buy airbag pants?

I am on the mailing list for a new product that combines jeans with airbags. I currently use a Hellite Turtle vest and these new Jean pants use Helite technology with a similar tether system. There is an early adopter discount price of $499 that I believe is available till the end of March. On the fence about getting them. The brand is Mo’Cycle. A Swedish company that has the jeans sewn in Italy.

Nope.
No, I will not.
I'm considering it. I currently have the Helite FreeAir jacket and really like it.
Not for me. For the type of riding I do on the quiet back roads of Kentucky at an average speed of 38 MPH they just don't seem needed.

I have seen a demo and it looks as if straighten the legs on deployment. That may do more damage in some situations. But the next generation will be better and like armour become and go to.

That is exactly what I think about when near water wearing all the gear I wear on a dirt bike.
This is what happens when you eat chili and fried Brussels sprouts if your pants are tucked into your shoes.

No pants yet, but I did buy a cheapo imported vest and will be doing extensive testing and publishing the results, including slow motion camera with a stopwatch down to the hundredths of a second. Also, the threaded port can accept either 33 gram CO2 cartridges, or 60 gram cartridges so I will be testing both. And it would not be that difficult to change the threaded port so it accepts 90 gram cartridges,

The other test (maybe) is that the device that pierces the cap on the cartridge (I suspect) could be made a larger diameter to reduce/improve inflation times (if that is needed.) Won't know for sure until I sacrifice a 33g cannister and then find out what the inside diameter of the hole is.
