Anyone have experience or comparison with an Arai full face helmets and Arai dual sport XD-4?

I'm in the market for a new Arai helmet and would like some experiences with the differences in an
Arai full face like the Signet and the dual sport XD-4.
I will be using for about 80% street and 20% mild off-road riding.
Thanks in advance...

I have both a Signet and an XD-4. I wear the XD4 95% of the time. I like the more open space in front of my face, I like having a sun visor. The optics of the stock shield are very good (No distortion). I think the Signet is a little quieter. I have a Givi airflo windscreen and rarely put my visor down and just wear glasses. On my other bike (WR250R) I get some whistling noise with the XD4. Have not tried the Signet on that bike. Both helmets are wired for Cardo with speakers.

@Nicad I have a Signet-X (previously a...Q?), and it's the only helmet that fits my long oval head well. Do you find the XD-4 similar in fit to the Signet?

The fit is very similar. Both are the most comfortable helmets I have found.

The Signet-X and Q are certainly the same shell and foam, and fit the same. My road helmet is/was a Signet-Q and I loved it, but when I sold my VFR I wanted an ADV helmet so I bought an XD-4, confident that I have an Arai head.

Painful is an understatement! I'm too "long oval" for an XD-4 but not a Signet. Weird. Then I became convinced that MIPS is important and tried a Bell MX-9 MIPS and I love it! It's all day comfortable, quiet enough, and just fits my melon.

After wearing Shoei for years I purchased a Arai Signet-X in 2019. It is the most comfortable helmet that I have ever owned. It is holding up well and I will get another if this one wears out.
I have an Arai Defiant Pro Cruise and an XD4. The fit between them is pretty much the same, though I do find the XD4 a tad bit more comfortable. The XD4 is 8 years old and the Defiant is 6 years old. Enjoyed them both but will be retiring them and going modular.

YMMV
