Its that time of year again to start thinking about coming out to Vegas and riding New Years when the weather is crap back home.
Plan your rooms, flights bike rentals or path to trailer in.
I'll post ride meet location, route and meet time later as I'm still deciding the particulars.
Most years the weather has been very friendly to getting out and enjoying Death Valley.
I have missed the last 2 years due to health and planning to not talk people into going and go back home after departure >:)

May reverse the route so you could meet us on the 95 junction out of Pahrump or Longstreet Casino for breakfast if I do that route.
Looks like Adrian is in also from up North.
Threw a wider invite this year and though Facebook and may get a few more guys from up your way.
Mike

I'm in. I might stay in Pahrump as its easier to get a room there, and Mom's diner has a CFS calling to me.....

Either way is fine with me, I can still easily meet you at the gas station or if you turn at the Tecopa road I could meet you there. Doesn't matter to me as long as I don't miss the riding! :)

I finally was able to get a condo in Vegas so don't change anything on my behalf, but a stop at Mom's is definitely something we should consider...

Group size is the only reason I dont do Mom's usually for this ride.
They are great but tend to be busy for a larger group and not knowing what size for your turn out I dont add it in.
Crowbar has always just been convenient and can handle a larger group most of the time.
Going to Pre Run the ride Saturday the 25th over Thanksgiving weekend and see what time for leaving Vegas and judge the Longstreet Hotel/Casino for the breakfast stop in the reversed loop.
The group usually kind of breaks up around Furnace Creek/Bad Water as some people want to turn and burn so we may have a small enough group Mom's would work fine.
Guess we can always wait it out for dinner time if still a decent sized group.
I could have a go at some Chicken Fried Steak!
Havent had any since before my Gastric Sleeve. >:)
Anyone else looking at coming too Vegas????????

"I could have a go at some Chicken Fried Steak!"

I found that Campbell's Soup company makes a Country Sausage gravy. Comes in a can that is 15% more at the 99 Cents only store.
Wife likes cube steaks. Dredge the steak in a milk and egg mix, then into seasoned flour and back to the egg/ milk mix and fry in a little oil.
A friend gave me a bottle of Tabasco flavored olive oil. USe at your own discretion.
Flood that sucker with the sausage gravy for the yum sensation at dinner or brekky.

As some would say, MMM, MMM Good!

So lets make the plan layout final.
Meet point Snow Mountain Smoke Shop 7am and stands up and roll 7:15am.
https://www.lvpaiutesmokeshop.com/snowmountain.html
There is fuel at the meet point.
We will do a top off fuel and restroom at Lathrop Wells.
Breakfast stop at Longstreet Casino in Amargosa.
Picture stop at Death Valley junction in front of the Opera House.
Next stop is Dante's View.
Then on to Artist Pallette Drive and over to Bad Water.
For those wanting a shorter day the ride is officially over at this point.
If you chose to hang in longer I will be returning to the Death Valley Visitors Center.
I would in the past stop off at the Store for a drink and snack but it has been plowed for new construction.
From the Visitors Center my plans are still open.
Several options for those wanting different lengths of the distance and time where you can fall out and return to Vegas.
Those who dont mind riding back in the dark stick with me.
Then I will decide the ride based on if we have any cruisers in the remaining group.
All Adventure type bikes and we will run a route showed to me 2 weeks ago.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!
