I have a KTM 950 S Adventure, a VStrom 1000, and a KLR 650. No way anyones gonna tell me the Strom will not last as long as a European dual sport. I have owned everything from Buell to BMW, KTM to Kawasaki and these bikes will outlast any of them. I can't believe someone would say that bike craps out at 30K. We have KLR 650's in my neck of the woods with 60,000 miles on them and are still kicking ass. I have a friend with the weestrom that has 50,000 miles on his bike and it's still kicking ass. I believe if you take care of any bike you can easily get 80,000 - 100,000+ miles out of them no problem. I've always been able to do that on ANY bike I've owned. Some with less problems than others and those some with less have always been Suzuki's, Kawasaki's and Hondas. Not to say I don't love my other bikes but they are a in a whole other league and have always required more work then my japanese and chinese counterparts.
