All--

Thanks to my new place being on a hill, mixed with some boneheadedness on my part, I broke off a piece of my clutch lever. I found some good threads on replacing the lever with another OEM one, and some good recommendations on aftermarket ones, but I was wondering if the aftermarket ones install just like the OEM, or is each one a little different? I'm leaning toward the Ride It Moto set.

I'm not terribly handy, but I have to believe this is something I can handle. It was also recommended to me that I have a spare clutch and brake lever on hand on long trips. Any thoughts on that as well?

Thanks all

It should be very straightforward to install.

Yes, carrying spare levers is a good idea. If the bike falls over in a parking lot somewhere, it's very possible to damage the levers to the point they're not safe to use. I keep a cheapo set of brake and clutch levers in the space under the seat -- they're held tightly together with rubber bands so they don't rattle.
