ABS on or off

Just bought a 2018 Vstrom 1000xt and I can't tell from all the reading and messing around when you turn the traction control off does that turn off the ABS when you go dirt?? Very unclear from the manual.

the ABS warning light would be on if the ABS was off. just like the TC warning light comes on when you shut TC off.
