I bought these small saddlebags for the V. About 10 bucks or so... they don't look bad at all and are securely attached to the bike.

The quality of construction is intermediate... nothing great, but for that price you can't ask for more. What do you think?

Yes, I agree with you that if the bike falls off, goodbye saddlebags.

But for what they cost, I don't care much either. And yes, nothing of value inside (some rags, simple tools, a mask, latex gloves, and sanitary alcohol).

An excellent place to put raingear.
In Seville (Spain).. The rain is the last thing I'm worried about... x-D

This winter we have reached 25 degrees Celsius.. And we are in the middle of a drought.

Let's enjoy the bike because tomorrow we don't know what will happen.... :|

I have similar bags but I have mine on my pannier racks, they are on the inside of my racks, between the racks and the wheel, they sit very high in the rack frames, they don't interfere with the panniers fitting on or off.

The bags live there 24/7 but I only put the panniers on when traveling overnight with the bride on the back.

I keep our wet weather gear in there, one side for here and one for me, it's easy to get at when the weather turns bad.

Even though our bike gear is waterproof I carry light weight stuff to wear over it.

Sure! This is the AliExpress link. I don't like to buy Chinese stuff, but on Amazon they cost three times as much, and it's the same product.

I have a pair of similar on my crash bars. They are frame bags for bicycles. I keep the stuff I hope I never need in them. Tire pump, etc. I did a low-side and that one did scuff through in one spot. But no scrapes on the crash bar. ;)

Sorry to break topic, but what brand oiler is that? Thanks.

I've done the same. Push bike frame bags. Crash tested and they came out well. They will need replacing in 5 years or so but work amazingly well.

No problem men.

Is Scottoiler System X.

It is expensive, but the installation is extremely simple and works quite well. Since it is electronic, there is no need to modify the air inlets or anything like that.

The system detects that the bike is in motion and starts pouring oil into the chain.

My daughter has been to Seville twice to row on your river and she loved it. Last year when we were in Menorca it was 100 degrees but it was 110 in Seville💥

Yes, it is quite a nice city, with cobblestone streets and very old buildings.

When you live here you don't appreciate it so much, but when you travel and see other cities, that's when you realize its value.

It also has some points against it:

A lot of tourism
Some streets are dirty (bad control of the city hall).

I originally bought those for mine as well, .....

but I wasn't all that happy with their capacity/waterproofing/'robustness', so I soon replaced them with a set of truly waterproof 13L Lomo Adventure Dry Bags for MotoCamping/touring

Those saddlebags are on another level!

In my case, I put them more for aesthetics than utility, and to carry very simple things.

Your bags are ideal for traveling.
If you want to get an excellent crash bar bag (drop tested ;-)) and support a domestic small business look for:

Mine are for the 2014 V2 OEM bars. They were the prototype. I made him a template of the opening and he made the custom bags. Just contact him with what you want.

I got a set of these a couple years ago:

$40 for the set on ebay. Used to carry small items; tire repair kit, cable lock, etc. Kinda like a glove box.

I like those bags that the OP has. I found a small bag for horse pommel that works pretty well for mine and is about the right size. Amazon has a bunch to choose from.

I really like those nylon zipper bags, but the weird shapes they make them in so they'll conform to the crash bars makes them a less than ideal choice for a set of rolled up raingear. That's all I carry in mine; a set of raingear in each bag for me and my passenger. I ended up choosing some rectangular Rothco canvas shoulder bags and adapted them for use on the bike. They aren't waterproof, but then again they didn't need to be, since the stuff in them was already waterproof.
