A BIG Hello From Missouri!
WOW... I just bought my first V-Strom to use for my adventures... did not even know the "cult" following that existed out here in the "inter-webs"...
I have been riding and owned motorcycles since 1973 (age of 6)... I am 56 now and I am just "restarting" my life again.
The pandemic wiped out my life, but it is an opportunity to start over and build a life I choose to live... so ALL is good.
I am building a custom camper / RV, taking a motorcycle and traveling across the United States for the next few years. Maybe even do some foreign travel as well... I just started another Youtube channel to share the adventure. Its early!
The first big "find" was the perfect bike to have for the traveling... you guessed it. V-STROM DL650!

I traveled out of a van with the V Strom 1000 for about a year, suggest you consider the Pit Bull Trailer Restraint System. Here's a short vid of how I employed it inside the van ... makes life easier on you AND the bike. Total package was about $400+, modified/installed it myself - 1 person job. The bike featured isn't the V Strom but I don't think it matters as far as making a suggestion for you to consider.
