6pin Suzuki to OBDII adapter issues.

Am I missing something?
I have an OBDII Scan Tool adapter that works on our Kia just fine but not on the V-Strom.
I bought the 6pin Suzuki to OBDII adapter from Ebay

For Suzuki 6Pin OBD2 Motorcycle Diagnostic Adapter Code reader Cable Connector | eBay

and when I attached the BAFX OBDII reader to it, no lights at all and so the Torque App didn't even read the OBDII adapter.
Has anyone tried this and does Suzuki require anything special in the way of OBDII reader?

One obvious thing is that the 6pin to OBDII cable itself is wired up wrongly but I did notice it says 2018 and up and mine is a 2017.

Anyone else had this issue?

Won't work on older bikes. 1050 may work...

I bought one too. Suzuki proprietary stuff me thinks.

Or old technology.

You could find a 2018+ ECU and test it. Or ask someone with a newer bike if it works.

There are a few ECU variants, like CA models E33.
