Pulled the Vee apart today for the 30k check. All is within spec, however, on the lower end .001-.002 roughly. Decided not to to do as some folks do. That is set the valves on the upper end of spec. I'll just ride it silly until the next check.
The radiator does not have to be removed for the valve check. Take the bolt out on the bottom, remove radiator hose on the right, drain fluids, loosen the top and rotate forward to remove the valve cover.
Air filter(K&N) was very nasty after 15k-bugs, grime etc.
As mentioned earlier on the site, make sure you know the difference in mm/inches. That kind of got me work being that I rode the short bus.
